Prologis Delivers Expanded Facility for POWER
Leading logistics real estate company supports POWER’s growth with a 20,000-square-meter extension to Power’s central warehouse in Skillingaryd
Prologis, one of the globally leading logistics real estate companies, delivered an expansion of POWER’s central warehouse in Skillingaryd, near Jönköping. The project was developed in collaboration with POWER Logistics, the division responsible for managing the company’s supply chain, to create a modern, sustainable expansion design tailored to their needs. The new 20,000-square-meter extension brings the total footprint area of the facility to 110,000 square meters, enabling POWER to support their business growth. Strategically located by the E4 and close to key rail connections, the property offers ideal conditions for efficient goods transport.

For the past 13 years, since the inauguration of the initial distribution center in 2011, Prologis and POWER Logistics have collaborated on two expansions, tailored specifically to the electronics giant's needs. This latest project includes eight additional loading docks. Through the Prologis Essentials program, Prologis also installed the shelving systems and installed an electric vehicle charging infrastructure for cars.
“The new expansion provides critical facilities to manage our growing volumes and optimize logistics. The additional loading docks and new exit are central to our operations and will strengthen our capacity and streamline our processes,” says Casper Ödeen, Development Manager from POWER Logistics.
Sustainability and well-being aspects also played a crucial role in this expansion. The building is designed to achieve BREEAM 'Very Good' certification, with a solar-ready roof, natural flower fields, and sandbanks and dunes to support local wildlife and plant life, which help promote biodiversity.
The agreement between POWER and Prologis is a 10-year Clear Lease® agreement, with Prologis responsible for the property’s maintenance and management.
