Gothenburg – 4 April 2017 – Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire five properties in Sweden from Estea Logistic Properties 5 AB (publ).
The 77,000 square metre portfolio, which is 100-percent leased, comprises modern Class-A facilities in Stockholm, Eskilstuna, Borås and Jönköping ranging from 6,900 to 30,000 square metres. Each building is well-located to serve the domestic market and is near excellent transportation links.
“This acquisition reflects Prologis’ commitment to Sweden’s growing logistics market,” said Bram Verhoeven, senior vice president, country manager, Prologis Benelux/Nordics. “Demand is strong in Sweden—we have been almost 100-percent occupied since the start 2002—and this transaction speaks to our response to that demand as well as to our overall strategy in this important market.”
“Prologis is a well-established logistics real estate company that delivers on its promises. With this sale to Prologis, we can be certain that our customers are in good hands,” said Johan Eriksson, CEO, Estea AB.
As of 31 December 2016, Prologis owned approximately 369 000 square metres of logistics and distribution space in Sweden, making it one of the country’s leading providers of logistics real estate.
Prologis was advised by JLL.
