Göteborg – 4 October , 2017 – Prologis, Inc., the global leader in industrial real estate, has announced today that it signed various new leases in the Gothenburg region totalling more than 30,000 sqm. Amongst others this includes new lease contracts för GöteborgsOperan and DHL Supply Chain.
Long-term contract with GöteborgsOperan
Prologis and GöteborgsOperan are signing a long-term contract for a warehouse in the ultramodern Prologis Gothenburg Park II.. The logistics space, which comprises 8,846 sqm will primarily be used to store GöteborgsOperan's props, scenery and stage sets, as well as to build sets for forthcoming performances.
“The choice of logistics property fell on Prologis when they offered what we were looking for and met our warehouse requirements. The proximity to our everyday operations, flexibility in logistics solutions and the environmental aspect was important to us", says Åsa Jansson, Technical Manager, GöteborgsOperan.
The lease for GöteborgsOperan means that there are only 5,000 sqm remaining before the park's first two buildings, which constitute a total of 37,000 sqm. In order to meet the increased demand for warehouse premises in the Gothenburg region, a further logistics property is also planned in Prologis Gothenburg Park II. The property will have a logistics area of 25,000 sqm.
DHL leases approximately 15,000 sqm
Prologis and DHL Supply Chain are signing a further lease totalling 14,818 sqm of logistics space in DC2 in Prologis Gothenburg Park I. Occupation will be in January 2018.
"DHL is an important customer both globally and in Sweden, currently leasing a total of 881,885 sqm of logistics space. We are delighted about the renewed and increased trust placed in us in the Swedish market.
