Norrköping is about 150 kilometers southwest of Stockholm and 300 kilometers northeast of Gothenburg. The city has an airport and is a favorable location with direct access to the European roads 22 (Malmö, Kalmar, Norrköping) and 4 (Uppsala, Stockholm, Jönköping, Ljungby).
The Norrköping municipality has about 137,000 inhabitants, while the surrounding province of Östergötland is home to around 450,000 people. Historically, Norrköping was a textile-producing city, but is now known for integrating industrial, agricultural and urban activities. It is a key logistics region in Sweden because of its harbor and terminal facilities, as well as its proximity to the Stockholm region.
